Printing Posters
Poster printing is at the beginning of our shop’s story and still makes up a large part of our business. At Forthrite, we’re one of the last shops in the bay area carrying on this tradition and we’re proud of that.
Large or small runs receive the same attention to detail and precision. We make it quick and easy for the artist and designer to get their work print-ready and on the press.

French Paper Co. / Neenah Paper / Strathmore by Mohawk / Crane Paper Co.
Most of these papers can be found at Kelly Paper Co.
Poster Inks
For posters we use water-based inks by TW Graphics inks.
We strive to match color accurately using the Pantone matching system. Pantone color matching is built in to many design applications, like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, but remember that screen calibration can affect the representation of the color.
Printed Pantone books are considered the most accurate reference point, and we have them in the shop. If you’d like an online reference, check out Cal Print’s online Pantone guide.
There is an additional $30 charge per color for mixing.
File Preparation
Once you’re ready to send in artwork you’re welcome to send the original files at print ready size (300 dpi at final size, minimum) from either PDF’s, Illustrator or Photoshop files.
You can send files via email. or upload them via the Get a Quote form.
JPEGs would be a last resort.
