The Art of Wayne Pope
February 8, 2014-March 7, 2014
In 1960 Wayne Pope was working as a printer and designer. He was approached by a friend starting a new record label to design and print their first release, Mance Lipscomb; Texas Songster. This relationship between Wayne and Arhoolie would go on for decades to come and produce 100’s of records. The visual stamp that Wayne used was the visual component to the music it housed.
